I have used "Guide for the Perplexed" in teaching both Sunday School classes as well as science classes in high school and college. It is a well-written summary and outline of the actual nature of reality with a very clear explanation of the reason why the methods of science are inadequate to deal with all the levels of reality that human beings can experience. The author is neither a new age nor scientific fanatic, but a man of wisdom and open-mindedness. The book should answer many questions that arise from the misapplication of either science or religion. See also the author's "Small is Beautiful" and "Good Work" for the practical application of humanity and compassion to the problems of economics, especially in developing nations.
