E.F.Shumacker was an English Economist and Engineer who was among the first to see the dehumanizing consequences of the "bigger-is-always-better" assumption. My short review was written for Amazon and it lists several of Shumacher's books, all of which show uncommon insights into the nature of man and man's activities.
